Before submitting any work to us we would ask what you think Real2Can Records can do for you, especially if you are already pretty organized.

What Real2Can can do for you.

Firstly, before we go any further, we don't pay advances. Now there is a good reason for this and one that you will like. Simply an advance is something a record or publishing company gives to an artist, but which then ties them up for years trying to pay it back from royalties, which the record or publishing company ensures are small! Most of us have been in the business for some time in one capacity or another and we have seen so many artists suffer because they are broke whilst trying to pay advances back.

The beauty of what we do is this.

• We do all the design and marketing of your chosen album/book/film (which incidentally has to be one that has not been released in any form - although we can do compilations of work).
• We get the album distributed world-wide through various means, including mostly these days digitally (ie iTunes, Naptser etc).
• We also attempt to get licenses from film/documentary to boost income and also go for sponsorship. These are added ways of boosting the artists income if successful. We do not charge your account or deduct this from royalties because it is done in-house.
• Then we pay 50% of the profits from all sales to the artist. This is much much bigger than any royalty you will get from a standard record company and inspires us all to promote the album.

If you are a band or musician then choose 9-12 songs that you would like to see on an album and send them along (links are fine - but we will need the main files once we all agree). If you are an author or film-maker then send us a sample or point us to a link with a complete summary of your project.

If we do agree to proceed then we will need publicity shots (for PR, album design etc) and also if you are a band or musician and you can get some video footage of yourself, we can produce you some videos (we send these to TV stations and put them all-over the internet to get you publicity - its good advertising).
